Friday, May 23, 2003 ::: watched matrix 2 today well what can i say... didn't expect much before entering the theater so wasn't really disappointed but not being disappointed doesn't mean i can't criticize the film. so here it goes: the plot... pretentious and ostentatious but empty - but that was kind of expected anyway i really hate the way they want to make the movie sounds like a movie about 'philosophy'... i just wish they could cut that crap... about 'making choices'... and how you're born with choices / or born without choices / or having the choice to make a choice / or a choice is actually destined so it's not a choice / or don't care about the choice but just care about why you make that choice... argh i really had enough!!! -_-" just make a good action / sci-fi film and i won't blame you for not being 'complicated' or maybe it's just the other way round and i'm just being too 'shallow' to understand? i wonder... the start of the film is quite good actually. the film gains momentum until halfway... the so-called 'climax' was just a disappointment. that's where the film starts getting boring. the fighting scenes are cool though, but the end of each fight was always stupid with keanu flying away leaving the scene... it's sooooo powerpuff girls. ROFLMAO (= rolling on floor laughing my ass off) Anyway... the thing that really makes sense is at the end when they officially declare the story is "To be concluded" yes we all know abt that already and it's expected... but which at the same time it makes the movie real cheap. just give us a decent ending, and we won't blame the film makers for making another episode. and marilyn manson... why do they have to put that thingy in the movie... i just don't have a clue OK so everybody's waiting for Matrix III already.. or are we?
